Somerset, a land steeped in myth and magic, is a historical tapestry where the eerie mists often blur the lines between fact and fiction. This region has been the backdrop for legendary kings such as Arthur and Alfred the Great. It served as the cradle of Christianity in Britain, a stronghold during the tumultuous times of Alfred the Great, and witnessed fierce battles during the Civil War.
Famed for its rich tradition in cider making and drinking, Somerset is home to numerous cider farms, each offering their unique brew. This deep-rooted cider heritage even inspired the formation of the beloved folk band, The Wurzels.
Greenbank Swimming Pool
Greenbank Swimming Pool, in the heart of Street, set in the beautiful Somerset countryside, located a stone’s throw from Clarks Village Shopping Centre. The fabulous 100 feet (30 metres) outdoor pool is heated to 30C in the main pool and 32C in the children’s pool, so you can swim comfortably even when the sun is hiding behind the clouds. Somerset Levels
All around are the enigmatic and magical Somerset levels from which rise the Polden and Mendip hills to the north and the Quantock Hills and Blackdown Hills to the west.

With four exhibition halls, over ninety aircraft, more than 2 million records, and 30 thousand artefacts, the Museum is Europe’s largest naval aviation museum.
Wookey Hole Caves
Wookey Hole Caves are a series of limestone caverns, a show cave and tourist attraction in the village of Wookey Hole on the southern edge of the Mendip Hills near Wells in Somerset, England. The River Axe flows through the cave. It is a Site of Special Scientific Interest for both biological and geological reasons.
Cheddar Gorge
Cheddar Gorge is not only one of Britain’s most spectacular natural landmarks, but also an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
The Gorge boasts awe-inspiring cliffs and extraordinary subterranean stalactite show caves, plus many fascinating secrets about our prehistoric ancestors. It is also an international centre for caving and rock climbing.
Longleat Safari Park
Longleat is an English stately home and the seat of the Marquesses of Bath. A leading and early example of the Elizabethan prodigy house, it is adjacent to the village of Horningsham and near the towns of Warminster and Westbury in Wiltshire, and Frome in Somerset and is under an hour from Gypsy Caravan Breaks.
